Dropping Doubt
Doubt.
It’s a Bitch.
It stops us in our tracks.
It messes with our minds.
It’s a walls that halts us even when we had wind at our backs.
Doubt comes from overthinking.
You had an idea.
It energized you.
You thought about it more….
Then your nervous system took over.
A system that’s a black belt at convincing you of all the reasons you shouldn’t do that idea.
Now? Voila…
You have fully slowed down.
Stuck and stagnant at the wall of doubt.
All because doubt started to serve up all the reasons you shouldn’t do something.
The way to stop doubt is to stop overthinking.
Funny that you can’t spell doubt without its first two letters:
DO.
The way to stop doubt is to just stop at its first two letters.
When you “do”, you don’t think about doubt.
You just do.
You just start.
You just learn.
You just iterate.
Think I knew how to be a keynote speaker?
Think I had it perfect the first time I designed an offsite?
Think I had a clue how to be a business owner?
I just had to have the courage to not overthink myself to the point of doubt.
Doubt is another form of fear.
Stopping “Doubt” Starts When You Stop at its first two letters.
Don’t turn DO into DOUBT.
Stop DOUBT by stopping when you reach DO.
